MONA a lighting and ambience
Among the beautiful and picturesque vines is located a not your average museum MONA, but you probably have already heard that.
The place is built mostly underground and from across the river looks like a fortress. Inside I love the exposed rock and bits you can see.The juxtaposition of contemporary items with old pieces is interesting. Works from Renoir to an Egyptian mummy and a whole lot in beteween to make you think or just keep going. There is something for everyone, the ambiance is spectacular, there is a peace and stillness that I loved. Had the O gadget guiding me to what i was looking at and listening to the artists interview were great.
I recommend lunch upstairs with a breathtaking view of the Derwent.
