KNOW YOUR MEDIUM

Knowing your medium and being able to manipulate it in ways to create consistency in your production is the challenge of the handmade process. Sometimes it’s a disaster, sometimes a huge success – you never know! That’s one of the things that I love and dread about the experimentation process – you never know what you are going to come up with!

Take a closer look, these earrings started as an experimentation; they are like ribbons with a cotton fabric weave texture that you can wear so very easily. Yes, I actually use cotton fabric in this process and I’m pretty damn good at it.
